One-day assembly course 380€

The trainee chosen among the different models of series (Fontainebleau®, Grimpeurr®) a knife of a value not exceeding 170 €.

We realize together the assembly of the knife from previously prepared parts:

  • Adjustment
  • Pre-shaping of the handle
  • Mounting
  • Shaping
  • Polishing
  • Sharpening

The trainee leaves with his knife at the end of the day

Manufacture of a knife on 3 days 1050€

From templates (Fontainebleau®, Grimpeur®), we realize by removing material from raw materials, a knife worth 360€.

1st day:

  • Choise of blade steel: XC75, 90MCV8, D2, 14C28N, Suminagashi (Damascus extra)
  • Clipping of different parts (blade, spring, plates)
  • Drilling
  • Pre-grind

2nd day:

  • Chiseling
  • Heat treatments (tempering)
  • Finishing and polishing parts

3rd day:

  • Adjustment
  • Pre-shaping of the handle
  • Mounting
  • Shaping
  • Polishing

The trainee leaves with his knife at the end of the course.
