Yann Nominé
After spending 5 years in Thiers and Laguiole to learn the craft of knife-making and obtain my CAP (vocational diploma), I returned in 2011 to my home region. Just 10 km from Fontainebleau, in the heart of its forest and horses, I set up my workshop in the hamlet of Cugny in La Genevraye to create high-quality knives for enthusiasts of this legendary object.
I have designed and patented two models: Le Fontainebleau® and Le Grimpeur®, which I produce in small series.
I also design and craft other models, such as the Pitigrow and L’Illicite, as well as unique pieces often inspired by traditional knife-making.
I primarily work on commission, so feel free to contact me or visit the workshop during opening hours.
As an artisan knife-maker, I also offer several services, including sharpening, polishing, and restoring antique knives.
The workshop is open to the public on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. or by appointment
